Listen to Parallax interview for Dance Cave Sound

January 29, 2024

This week, Amalgama (with Diskoan and Josephine’s Soundscapes) published the latest offering of their show at Radio Relativa. Their ninth chapter saw the light on december and it’s an extensive interview with Parallax that includes some of her favourite and most loved tracks. We leave you with their own words and a link to Soundcloud:

“For the third episode of this season, we make a vital-musical journey with a very special guest: Parallax. We have called this format “Lifelines”. Tamara opens it telling us about her beginnings as a passionate electronic music lover, through themes and anecdotes that have marked her life trajectory. A fun and dynamic interview, like the energy of this DJ from Madrid that we were lucky to have in our booth last season.”

Lifelines w/ Parallax:
Midnight – run with you
à;GRUMH… – Ayatollah Jackson
Robert Hood – Razr
Orca – 4am (Original)
ZULI – Trigger Finger
Cop32 – (unreleased de Asphalt Recs.)

Mix: N2MU PDCST085 – Mendi

September 6, 2023

To prove that the clubber doesn’t live by techno alone, Mendi prepared a few days ago a mix for the Madrid label Noise To Meet You. In this podcast, Raquel proposes a journey that includes more serene sonorities, classic electro and ambient forces that follow one another in a set composed of very current tracks… Although with classic productions. The result and the setlist can be found on the label’s official soundcloud. Here goes the mix.

Mix: DSH 020 – W-95

August 15, 2023

New mix alert! W-95 returns to action with a podcast recorded for the techno radio show Dark Spirit Hour. This show, recorded at Boogie Bunker, is one of the top platforms for emergent and underground djs of our national scene.

For this occasion, W-95 returns to his techno roots, showing some classic and electro-lighted material, with 303s and strange rhythms. At this revolutions level (intense but not that much), the difference between techno and other genres is difficult to spot… And it doesn’t matter at all: it’s just original dance music. Let’s just shut up and dance.

Oscar LP premieres new track “Sandye” at Beatburguer

July 6, 2023

Today we have the pleasure to premiere “Sandye” at Beatburguer, track by Olp808 included in “Convergencia: Naturaleza-Cultura” released by Creative Interface.

Collector and selector of electronic music from an early age, the beginnings of Olp808 (Oscar LP) date back to the early 2000’s in the breakbeat scene, a genre so representative in the south of the country. Since then his sound range has expanded as his suitcase of records continues to grow.

His sessions move through different genres such as electro, breaks, IDM or ambient, all mixed with great taste and personality. He is currently a member of EAK and Electronic Wave, and also co-directs Another Perspective Records, an independent label dedicated to electro that releases on 12″.

Creative Interface was born in Granada in 2023 with the need to give visibility and promote the listening of compositions of young talents, trying to focus on broken beats, whether Electro, Breaks, UK, IDM, Ambient and all those variants that derive from them.

As the name suggests, with this first reference Creative Interface want to convey the basis of their conceptual idea: the union between nature and culture. For what is music if not the convergence between the scientific and the emotional, the physical and the imaginary or the real and the fantastic? Thanks to music, the human being dynamizes their interrelationships and create systems and networks connected to each other, culturizing each person in a natural and magical way at the same time.

Mendi will perform this Saturday at Mad Cool Festival

July 3, 2023

We are in the middle of summer and with it comes the festival season. Among these particular events, Mad Cool stands out in Madrid, which returns this year moving to Villaverde and with a lineup that once again synthesizes the best of the international Indie scene. Also with multiple proposals from our country that are more alternative/experimental and including emerging projects of the local scene, Mad Cool will feature this year one of our artists par excellence: Mendi.

Mendi will join the festival line-up on Saturday and will be included in the electronic stage, called The Loop. In this space, other local heroes such as Two Ex will also appear and some of the most renowned global selectors, such as Honey Dijon or The Blessed Madonna, will stand out.The Madrilenian will be in charge of opening the last date of the festival, from 18.55 and preceding none other than Denis Sulta. Tickets can still be purchased here. We will continue to look for new ways to expand our sphere of influence.

Fly Dance #18-03-23 w/ Topanga Kiddo, Rachael, Parallax & Julia Pé

March 18, 2023

Under the sign of Pisces we met again in an oceanic and electrifying night. On march the 18th, we celebrated our sixth event and it was a very special occasion: because of women’s day we only had female performers at Cadavra Club.

Banner for the event

The First Fly Dance of 2023 was an absolute blast. Julia Pé returned to Cadavra, this time to the 1st floor. There she made an all night lounge playing with vinyl. Dark atmospheres, great melodies and lots of contrasts, a booth filled with sumptuous electro and techno music.

Next, the set continued with a b2b of Parallax and Topanga Kiddo. Breaks and Jungle began to take over the space, catching the pulse of a euphoric audience. After this beautiful transition of about an hour the revolutions were already unbridled. Topanga is one of the most versatile and energetic djs of the national scene and proved it with a fiery session, able to combine techno with experimental sounds and with some of the most classic and fun tracks that we remember.

The closing was in charge of Rachael. With her the transition to jungle, the most aggressive and raver sounds was consummated… Putting the finishing touch to a night that combined in its hours from the most avant la lettre sounds of recent years to the most atavistic of our land, through the international tracks of the origin of the scene and a new perspective when it comes to connect the generically discordant.

You can listen to the complete mixes and watch the video of what happened below. We’ll fly again soon.

Brenda Sayuri´s live set for Devila Crew

January 5, 2023

Brazilian of Japanese origin and resident in Madrid, Brenda is the perfect example of a multi-instrumentalist academic artist who ends up finding her true path in experimenting with new sounds through electronic music.

From that moment on, her priority is to improve her technique and start creating her own productions within the world of electronic music.

Devila Crew define Brenda Sayuri style as techno shamelessly focused on live, as he conceives her studio music leaving the right spaces to give it real life live, using semi modular synthesizers, drum machines and MIDI controllers.
Her main influences include Tensal, Helena Hauff and The Lady Machine.

Fly Dance #03-12-22 invites Detroit in Effect

December 5, 2022

Drone Booking bid farewell to 2022 with its most ambitious party to date. On December 3rd in a memorable night, we received directly from the United States the producer and dj Detroit In Effect, aka Dj Maaco. Tameko J. Williams, undisputed reference of the Detroit scene, stopped by Cadavra Club leaving a set to remember along with two representatives of the agency: Seventh Corp (AKA Aiken) in the Hole and Mendi giving a unique touch to the Lounge.

The last Fly Dance of the year started in The Lounge with a fresh, varied and extensive session by Mendi. Her all night long on the top floor was a lesson of experience, good work and gallons of a dj trained and developed in the scene of the capital. Techno of changing and playful revolutions, classic and synthetic electro… A breath of fresh air from the first hour, with casual and serene tones very conducive to the context.

Downstairs the story was somewhat different. Aiken, as Seventh Corp, gave a history lesson of techno and electro to warm up the dancefloor. His set, which opened and closed the night, was built around edgy, original and US tracks, setting up the booth for Tameko and later leading the crowd into ecstasy on a night that was reminiscent of the true underground of a few decades ago.

Detroit In Effect was, by all accounts, the star of the night. Demonstrating his talent even scratching, taking the microphone to encourage the clubbers who filled the room, playing some of his best known tracks… The American dj performed an impeccable session. The video we leave you at the end proves it: as if taken from another era, Madrid vibrated to the rhythm of dance music as it was born on the international scene.
