Two creators, one shared vision.
Brenda Sayuri and V.A.N.H. are Brazilian artists based in Spain lifelong friends who came together with a mission: to transform audiovisual art into a powerful tool for emotion, critique, and sensory exploration.
Brenda Sayuri is a composer and live performer with over two decades of experience in the electronic music scene. Born to Japanese heritage and currently living in Madrid, her live sets blend analog synthesis, drum machines, and MIDI controllers to create dynamic, high-energy soundscapes. She has composed soundtracks for fashion, theater, dance, and advertising, in addition to releasing EPs and remixes both nationally and internationally. Her sound is visceral, emotional, and deeply immersive.
V.A.N.H. is the alias of Luciana Maia, a visual artist and pioneer in real-time generative digital art. Her practice fuses 2D/3D animation, vector synthesis, and algorithmic manipulation, resulting in experiences that are as conceptually rich as they are visually striking. With a dark, futuristic aesthetic rooted in digital anarchy, she has participated in festivals such as Keroxen, Etopia, and FILE Brazil, establishing a unique signature in the contemporary art scene.

TENSION: an immersive exploration of force and fragility.
TENSION is their collaborative project: a one-hour audiovisual performance that explores the concept of tension across physical, socio-political, and human dimensions. Premiered in 2024 at TEA (Tenerife Espacio de las Artes), the piece has established itself as a bold and relevant work at the intersection of music, technology, and critical thinking.
Through a seamless fusion of sound and generative visuals, TENSION immerses the audience in a world of opposing forces. The music composed and performed live by Brenda Sayuri drives the narrative with intense rhythms and dramatic crescendos. The visuals generated in real-time by V.A.N.H. — respond to audio frequencies through particle attraction, pixel acceleration, and digital strings, building hypnotic and fluid visual landscapes.
The result is a captivating, energetic, and thought-provoking show — ideal for festivals focused on digital art, electronic music, immersive experiences, and contemporary culture.
