January 29, 2024

This week, Amalgama (with Diskoan and Josephine’s Soundscapes) published the latest offering of their show at Radio Relativa. Their ninth chapter saw the light on december and it’s an extensive interview with Parallax that includes some of her favourite and most loved tracks. We leave you with their own words and a link to Soundcloud:

“For the third episode of this season, we make a vital-musical journey with a very special guest: Parallax. We have called this format “Lifelines”. Tamara opens it telling us about her beginnings as a passionate electronic music lover, through themes and anecdotes that have marked her life trajectory. A fun and dynamic interview, like the energy of this DJ from Madrid that we were lucky to have in our booth last season.”

Parallax at Refractor ’23 (by Organic Signs)

July 5, 2023

The first edition of Refractor, which took place May the 27th counted with one of the great talents of the local scene: Parallax. The party, organized by the new platform Organic Signs, also had artists like Servei, Sybil or the renowned Remotif.

After an intense set by Tadan, the artist from Madrid began to release her musical repertoire around 7 am, in which breaks, acid and jungle sounds predominated. All marked by the memory of 90s melodies and synths that starred the golden rave era.

Fly Dance #18-03-23 w/ Topanga Kiddo, Rachael, Parallax & Julia Pé

March 18, 2023

Under the sign of Pisces we met again in an oceanic and electrifying night. On march the 18th, we celebrated our sixth event and it was a very special occasion: because of women’s day we only had female performers at Cadavra Club.

Banner for the event

The First Fly Dance of 2023 was an absolute blast. Julia Pé returned to Cadavra, this time to the 1st floor. There she made an all night lounge playing with vinyl. Dark atmospheres, great melodies and lots of contrasts, a booth filled with sumptuous electro and techno music.

Next, the set continued with a b2b of Parallax and Topanga Kiddo. Breaks and Jungle began to take over the space, catching the pulse of a euphoric audience. After this beautiful transition of about an hour the revolutions were already unbridled. Topanga is one of the most versatile and energetic djs of the national scene and proved it with a fiery session, able to combine techno with experimental sounds and with some of the most classic and fun tracks that we remember.

The closing was in charge of Rachael. With her the transition to jungle, the most aggressive and raver sounds was consummated… Putting the finishing touch to a night that combined in its hours from the most avant la lettre sounds of recent years to the most atavistic of our land, through the international tracks of the origin of the scene and a new perspective when it comes to connect the generically discordant.

You can listen to the complete mixes and watch the video of what happened below. We’ll fly again soon.

Fly Dance #08-10-22 1st Anniversary w/ Masa Series

October 8, 2022

After a year of rotation and translation, the syzygy took place and the celestial bodies aligned. On saturday, october, the 8th… Drone Booking and the Andalusian label Masa Series got together at Cadavra to celebrate the agency’s first anniversary. The club was filled with tense, spatial and synthetic sounds, melting and altering our sensitive experience and making us dance the night away. The guest list was immense.

In The Lounge we had the duo Texture who deployed a sound marked by broken beats, colour and the most underground house… And with Natural Language: corrupting our muscles to the rhythm of his electro full of breaks and nervous melodies. He’s one of the references of the new batch from the south and also protagonist of one of the first references of the label.

In The Hole Jay R and Pharma arrived as representatives of Masa Series to put their experience and to show us how things are done in Almeria. With an extensive and developed back to back, they warmed up the dance floor during the first hours to welcome Drone’s crew.

On behalf of our agency and on our birthday, we were able to enjoy Parallax and Yngryd, recently incorporated to the agency. Both generated a series of contrasts that define our platform: between colorful techno, full of pads and good energy and the most acid electro, close to the breaks and with more leathery production.

Ale M, who also came representing Masa, closed the night with an energy-filled performance; the experienced selector ended the day making the audience escape from this orbit. His session culminated with a feverish but fresh techno, typical of the most underground spaces. This was also the occasion to know and acquire the new merchandising of Drone, which so well synthesizes the identity of our brand with its colors and its new design. We danced together, we flew through space. May the cosmic journey continue.

Rumbler-Muévelo-Cove

“Muévelo” Ep by Rumbler with Parallax Remix

October 1, 2021

Muévelo is the next single release from Barcelona’s based label Abundance, signed by Rumbler and accompanied by remixes by John Heaven, Parallax and Unknown Cultures, which will be released on October 1 in a digital version and in a very limited edition on dubplate format via Bandcamp.

After a series of remixes published in recent years, Muévelo represents the first original track released by the Catalan artist. A song with great influence from breaks and favela funk, which samples a forgotten reggaeton vocal, rediscovered through the Discogs search engine. Rumbler has spent years forging a reputation as a DJ thanks to his restlessness and passion for electronic music, which has led him to perform around the globe, from China to Vietnam, England or Singapore. An active member of Abundance as well in the Iberian Juke label, his mixes have been aired on major radio stations such as Rinse France, Operator Radio, Reform Radio or Reprezent, as well as at festivals such as Sónar, Outlook, Music and Dealers or L’Estrany.

Strongly influenced by sound system, rave & club cultures, Rumbler has always been passionate about broken beats and overdriven basses. Starting to collect jungle and drum and bass vinyls around 2010, his curiosity led him to explore different genres and play with BPM changes, making it a signature feature in his sessions. The surprise factor and the value for the blend, as a resource to create something new through two songs, champion him, and it is something that he tries to transmit equally with his productions.

The original song is accompanied by three remixes signed by close artists & friends. John Heaven, member of the Mainline crew and front man of the Mainline Magic Orchestra, takes it to his ground, signing a dawn-ready tech house tool with power to lift anyone out of their chair at 7 am.

Madrid’s techno best kept secret Parallax brings her unmistakable style with a mix between dark techno, breaks and powerful distorted bass lines, in an ideal remix for peak time at any warehouse party.

The most experimental remix comes from Catalan producer Unknown Cultures which mixes perfectly the essence of the song around footwork and jungle patterns driven by massive techno kicks on his ‘Headache’s Mix’.

Remixes by Joan Serinyà (John Heaven), Tamara Muñoz (Parallax) and Oriol Peña (Unknown Cultures)

Parallax for Emergencia Emergente

September 24, 2021

Parallax has recorded a new podcast in collaboration with Phase.ctv for Emergencia Emergente

This is a campaign in which 90 artist (women and non-binary) from different artistic backgrounds have collaborated synergetically with one aim: creating, developing, and growing a network of emerging female artists and creators all over the globe.
The whole purpose of this idea is to support, share and give exposure to young talent.

The project englobes 30 photographers, 30 artists in charge of customising t-shirts, and 30 DJs who will create and stream a techno podcast.

The whole purpose of this synergy of talent and artistic disciplines is to sell the T-shirts and generate a level of income that will be donated to a charity (still to be defined but potentially for those that support trans women and minorities in art).

Find the original post with the t-shirt designed by Iris San and photography art by Leire Izaguirre

We hope you enjoy this podcast!
