Archaic 477 W-95

Mix: Archaic Podcast 477 – W-95

September 7, 2023

A couple days ago our beloved W-95 released a very special podcast for Archaic. The mix, full of ambient, mental and reflexive vibes gives the listener a huge and emotional trip through time and space. Let’s leave its author talking about it:

“Who may concern: this podcast recorded entirely on vinyl contains fragments of some of my favorite albums, those that bring you peace. All the tracks were selected on a rainy Saturday afternoon, at the end of summer, to be joined together on an even rainier Sunday. This set is a good metaphor for the end of summer, the end of one of my phases, and the changes that life presents us with. Sometimes we get to choose when things change, and sometimes we just have to embrace the changes. I hope these songs reach the ears of anyone who needs this peace as they have for me. Special thanks to DJF, who in addition to playing one of his tracks, is directly responsible for half of the tracks in this set. Many of the records you can listen to, are some of the recommendations of “Jaime this record you can’t miss, it’s fucking awesome” and how right he was. I dedicate my 27th podcast to him, to all my friends, and to the changes of life, we will keep going far together <3bios de la vida, we will keep going far together <3″

Mix: N2MU PDCST085 – Mendi

September 6, 2023

To prove that the clubber doesn’t live by techno alone, Mendi prepared a few days ago a mix for the Madrid label Noise To Meet You. In this podcast, Raquel proposes a journey that includes more serene sonorities, classic electro and ambient forces that follow one another in a set composed of very current tracks… Although with classic productions. The result and the setlist can be found on the label’s official soundcloud. Here goes the mix.

Mix: DSH 020 – W-95

August 15, 2023

New mix alert! W-95 returns to action with a podcast recorded for the techno radio show Dark Spirit Hour. This show, recorded at Boogie Bunker, is one of the top platforms for emergent and underground djs of our national scene.

For this occasion, W-95 returns to his techno roots, showing some classic and electro-lighted material, with 303s and strange rhythms. At this revolutions level (intense but not that much), the difference between techno and other genres is difficult to spot… And it doesn’t matter at all: it’s just original dance music. Let’s just shut up and dance.

Oscar LP premieres new track “Sandye” at Beatburguer

July 6, 2023

Today we have the pleasure to premiere “Sandye” at Beatburguer, track by Olp808 included in “Convergencia: Naturaleza-Cultura” released by Creative Interface.

Collector and selector of electronic music from an early age, the beginnings of Olp808 (Oscar LP) date back to the early 2000’s in the breakbeat scene, a genre so representative in the south of the country. Since then his sound range has expanded as his suitcase of records continues to grow.

His sessions move through different genres such as electro, breaks, IDM or ambient, all mixed with great taste and personality. He is currently a member of EAK and Electronic Wave, and also co-directs Another Perspective Records, an independent label dedicated to electro that releases on 12″.

Creative Interface was born in Granada in 2023 with the need to give visibility and promote the listening of compositions of young talents, trying to focus on broken beats, whether Electro, Breaks, UK, IDM, Ambient and all those variants that derive from them.

As the name suggests, with this first reference Creative Interface want to convey the basis of their conceptual idea: the union between nature and culture. For what is music if not the convergence between the scientific and the emotional, the physical and the imaginary or the real and the fantastic? Thanks to music, the human being dynamizes their interrelationships and create systems and networks connected to each other, culturizing each person in a natural and magical way at the same time.

Parallax at Refractor ’23 (by Organic Signs)

July 5, 2023

The first edition of Refractor, which took place May the 27th counted with one of the great talents of the local scene: Parallax. The party, organized by the new platform Organic Signs, also had artists like Servei, Sybil or the renowned Remotif.

After an intense set by Tadan, the artist from Madrid began to release her musical repertoire around 7 am, in which breaks, acid and jungle sounds predominated. All marked by the memory of 90s melodies and synths that starred the golden rave era.

Mendi will perform this Saturday at Mad Cool Festival

July 3, 2023

We are in the middle of summer and with it comes the festival season. Among these particular events, Mad Cool stands out in Madrid, which returns this year moving to Villaverde and with a lineup that once again synthesizes the best of the international Indie scene. Also with multiple proposals from our country that are more alternative/experimental and including emerging projects of the local scene, Mad Cool will feature this year one of our artists par excellence: Mendi.

Mendi will join the festival line-up on Saturday and will be included in the electronic stage, called The Loop. In this space, other local heroes such as Two Ex will also appear and some of the most renowned global selectors, such as Honey Dijon or The Blessed Madonna, will stand out.The Madrilenian will be in charge of opening the last date of the festival, from 18.55 and preceding none other than Denis Sulta. Tickets can still be purchased here. We will continue to look for new ways to expand our sphere of influence.

Brenda Sayuri presents her new AV show with V.A.N.H: “Tension”

June 2, 2023

Brenda Sayuri have just prepared another musical exploration. “Tension” is the audiovisual performance project by V.A.N.H and her that extends over 60 minutes. The conceptual line of this force will guide the spectators in an immersive, sonorous and powerful performance.

As you know, Brenda Sayuri is the perfect example of a multi-instrumentalist academic artist who ends up finding her true path in experimenting with new sounds through electronic music. V.A.N.H (Visual Artist Needs Help) is the pseudonym and experimentation platform of the multimedia artist Luciana Maia. She explores vectorial synthesis, real-time generative art and 2D/3D animation in her creations.

The sound emitted by the oscillators and modulators will recreate an environment of opposing forces, where the visuals subjected to physics will react to the frequencies in real time. The attraction of particles, strings, acceleration of pixels, will give us unique visuals, with a lot of speed and balance.

April 28, 2023

Today Mendi visits the Selecta Groove Radio program. It is received, as usual, by Rafa Pérez and Sergio López.

We don’t know if the tap will hold such a musical spurt. As always, in techno key. Mendi has played in the most emblematic clubs and parties in Madrid, Cassette, Crow and UTOPIA to mention a few.

It is a pleasure that he wanted to come to visit us and give you a set that you will surely love.

New mix by Yngryd for Replay Sunset Parties

April 21, 2023

A mix that is pure fascination for iconoclasm. Replay Sunset Partie’s number 63 podcast is signed by one of the guests at The City Hall stage: Yngryd. Originally from Chile, but arrived in our country young, Yngryd is an eclectic dj who, as in her session, especially likes acid atmospheres and subtle and pompous electro; but she’s also able to take her mixes to heights of breaks, jungle and broken and explosive rhythms… A rocking and amazing journey through the world of dance music.

There are only a few weeks left to celebrate the 11th anniversary of Replay the terrace of Fabrik, with artists of the stature of Yngryd representing local talent.
